Celtic Tour ends... another tour begins!

(12/6/15) So, although we read a lot about our hotel being haunted, we saw no evidence of anything scary. We got up, checked out, and were on our way to Cardiff. Michael and I were almost attacked by a giant seagull (seriously, they're HUGE!!!) and it flew off with two entire sausage rolls!! We did a bit of shopping for around Cardiff before checking in to our hotel. Michael bought me a special honeymoon present: A Thomas Sabo charm necklace, with my first charm being the "yin yang" symbol (for those who remember Michael's wedding vows and why that is so special!!!)

We went to visit Cardiff Castle, which was really impressive. Ornate ceilings, decorations, and amazing reconstructions of what it must have looked like.

There was also a war bunker which was particularly amazing, but we didn't stay long in there: they played the old radio announcements and then bomb sirens and sounds of the castle under attack, and it wasn't long before I decided we should leave! It was eerie, amazing, and scary. OH!!! And we saw a squirrel.

It was  our last dinner together with the group, so we went to an awesome restaurant, drank wine, ate yummy food, gave some presents to Mike & Laura (driver and tour leader) and then went out for cocktails & shots. We went to a place that had the most deliciously amazing shots - flavours like: salted caramel popcorn, birthday cake, melted ice cream, xxx chilli, and a whole bunch of others. A bit of dancing and a lot of drinks before we went back to the hotel for our last night on the Celtic Tour *sad face*

(13/6/15)
We got up early to go to London today, and on our way we stopped at a couple of amazing places. First was Bath: we didn't actually go into the baths themselves, but had a nice wander around Bath and a bite to eat for lunch. We visited the Jane Austen centre, where she lived, and also saw some of the amazing old architecture from that period. After that we moved on to... wait for it.....

STONEHENGE!!!!!

Ahhhh so so so amazing and awesome. It was so incredible to be so close to it and hear so much about how it was created and what it may have been used for. One of life's best mysteries I think. The vibe of the place, even with all the tourists there... It was bloody sensational. Possibly my favourite part of the trip so far. So happy that we have been to this crazy place - some people think it's just rocks. What's the big deal? I can't explain it really.

The history, the unknown, the stories, the mystery, the past... I just loved it. After this we drove into London and said some sad goodbyes to our tour group. I made a couple of friends who I can't wait to keep in contact with and was so happy to have met  ^.^ And we will never forget our wake up song - every time I hear it I will need to pee! lol

After making our way across London to the Wombat's Hostel we did some laundry, had some dinner, and fell exhausted into bed for a sleep that was not NEARLY long enough.

(14/6/15) The first day of our SPIRIT OF EUROPE TOUR. Up at ridiculous O'clock to jump on a bus and go to the ferry taking us to France. The trip will look like this: Paris, Switzerland, Nice, Florence, Rome, Venice, Vienna, Budapest, Kraków, Prague, Berlin, and then Amsterdam! Can't wait!!!!
